Job Description
The Training Specialist/ Truck Driver Trainer is responsible for all aspects of product training, driving best practices (including relevant EHS training) for drivers, and external customers. Delivering the driver training curriculum, as set out in the curriculum, working to Air Products SA and Global policies and standards and according to the Technical Training process.
Key areas of responsibility for this role include but are not limited to:
- Deliver and maintain Driver Curriculum Training both paper and eLearning system.
- Responsible for Classroom and practical training and assessment (Driver and Operator).
- Ensure adherence to Technical Training Procedures.
- Provide support to Bulk Distribution Technical Training.
- Update and maintain training plans and training records, both electronic and paper.
- Continuous improvement and BSP Champion.
- A Grade 12/ Matric qualification;
- Formal training qualification in addition to Driver training Assessor and Moderator qualification and experience is desirable;
- A valid unendorsed Code EC Drivers licence with Dangerous Goods (PrDPd);
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience within the Gas Industry or Manufacturing/Petro Chemical industries.
- Must have at least 5-8 Years as a Technical Trainer/Truck Driver Trainer;
- Cryogenic, CO2 & Packed Gas cylinder fill operations experience would be an added advantage;
- Computer literate in MS Office with a high degree of proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook.
- The ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
